Open call for participants

Erasmus+ students today, international leaders tomorrow

“Erasmus+ students today, international leaders tomorrow” is a two-day training taking place in Brussels, Belgium, from May 31st to the June 2nd, aimed to gather 20 students and alumni with international/Erasmus+ experience to further explore the concept of intercultural leadership in the private and public sector.

Recruiters from both the public and private sector are increasingly searching for international talent that can bring a transversal set of skills and competences to the workplace. Transversal competences such as intercultural leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, curiosity and open-mindedness are recognised by employers and set as highly valued criteria in the call for applications.

With a variety of mobility programmes available, it is quite easy for young people to gain international experience. However, this experience can be difficult to translate into professional abilities and to articulate to potential employers. This training aims to give you the tools to further explore the concept of transversal skills and intercultural leadership, how to excel in your professional profiling and how to better sell your international experience to employers.

The objectives of this event are:

  • To support young talents with international/Erasmus+ experience to enter the job market;

  • To strengthen participant’s professional portfolio by exploring how to bring forward the skills and competences gained during their international experience;

  • To create an opportunity for best practice exchange with representatives from recruiting companies and the business sector;

  • To give participants the opportunity to learn what are the most valuable competencies for the job market of today;

  • To offer participants the possibility to learn to reflect on their own competences gained through their international mobility experience and become more self-aware;

  • Help building participants’ CV and provide then with feedback from their peers and from recruiters;

  • To support participants in exploring the concept of intercultural leadership;

  • To offer participants the possibility to develop networking skills.

Participant profile:

We are looking for students, graduates and alumni with an international and/or Erasmus+ experience. Young people that are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) will be also welcome, as long as they can justify having a previous international education experience.

Participants should have a working level of English (min. B2 level) to be able to actively participate in the programme (discussions, sharing, group activities, active listening, etc.).

Conditions of participation:

  • Participants are required to take part in the full duration of the activities, from May 31st at 6pm to June 2nd at 6pm.

  • Participants will have their travel expenses covered up to 150€ and accommodation covered up to 80€, provided that they fully participate in the event;
